Meet Our Team
THUHDEG functions within a three-tiered management structure. At the top we have the THUHDEG Executive Council (TEC), made up of 9 members, including the CEO, Mr. Ken Addae which is necessarily composed of 5 females and 4 males, with an elected Chairperson. The TEC has Trustees and Advisory members.
A large part of the implementation of our work takes place via local, community based volunteers. These Community Committees and Volunteer Groups constitute the bottom rung of our management structure.
In the middle we have the THUHDEG Workforce & Community Development Facilitators. They are responsible for implementing THUHDEG's policies, programs and projects, and is made up the following committed and dedicated team members:
Kenneth K. Addae
CEO
Mr Kenneth K. Addae is a gender & human rights activist who mainly focuses on the plight of women accused of witchcraft in Northern Ghana. With varied work experience from both private and non-profit sectors, Mr Addae founded THUHDEG (in 1997) in order to help establish a platform that would facilitate and promote a voice for the voiceless, strengthen gender development and respect the rights of the vulnerable and marginalised. His dream is that these social groups will be empowered, allowed to contribute meaningfully towards peace building and accelerated socio-economic development processes.
Aside his responsibilities with respect to the day-to-day running of THUHDEG, Mr Addae also serves as the Regional Secretary for GHANET, Northern Zonal Co-ordinator of the Civil Society platform for Social Protection-Ghana (CSPSP-Gh) and National Coordinator of the Anti-Witchcraft Campaign Coalition- Ghana (Awacc-Ghana).
As a result of his hard work, he was invited to participate in the 2012 U.S. International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) in Washington DC on the theme: U.S. Foreign Policy and Human Rights, with full sponsorship from the U.S. Department of State through the U.S. Embassy, Accra-Ghana. As well, Mr Addae was a nominated finalist at the "2013 MTN Heroes of Change Awards" organised by the MTN Ghana Foundation.
His hobbies include travelling, listening to Gospel music, table tennis and of course voluntary work.
Mary F. Boafur
CDF incharge of Child & Eductation Programmes
Madam Mary F. Boafur is a professional teacher and former Assemblywoman for West Gonja District in the Northern Region. She is THUHDEG's Coordinator for Child Education, Gender & Women Empowerment. Her responsibilities include mobilizing, coordinate and supervision over projects centered around women's empowerment, disabled/rural child education, and women and children's socio-economic advancement.
Her hobbies include singing, dancing and eating TZ (Tuo Zafi).
Richard Adugbiri

Community Development Facilitator (CDF) for Aged Programs
Mr. Richard Adugbiri is a professional teacher, holder of Diploma in Basic Education with over 25 years work experience. His role in THUHDEG is Community Development Facilitator r(CDF) in charge of all Aged Programmes and also responsible for facilitating cultural issues of the NGO.

His hobbies include reading, cycling and listening to gospel music.
Prince Iddisah Arimiyaw
CDF in-charge of Intergrated Community Dev Programmes
Prince Iddisah Arimiyaw is a final year student studying Agriculturial Engineering at Tamale Polytechnic. His role in THUHDEG involves the day-to-day mobilisation of rural communities in order to implement projects, supervise cluster groups and monitor the progress of our various endeavours.
His hobbies include farming, ICT and riding motorbike, as well as his field work of course!
Love Khande Issah
CDF incharge of Women Empowerment & Gender Devt. Programmes
Madam Love Khande Issah is a rural development worker, a holder of Commonwealth Diploma in Youth Development Work. Her role in THUHDEG is Community Development Facilitator in-charge of Women Empowerment & Gender Development. She also assists in running Village Savings & Loan Scheme/"Susu" Credit.
Her hobbies include music, traveling, cooking and watching films.
